…Izunaso loses out to Okorocha

The All Progressives has elected a new set of National Working Committee(NWC) members led the former governor of Edo state,Comrade Adams Oshimhole to pilot her affairs in the next four years.

The election which saw the return of some former members of the NWC to their seats and the election of new ones created much tension following the invasion by some persons assumed to be thugs and fight which broke out in the Imo and Delta state stand but took the intervention of security men to stop.

The new set of leaders as reeled out by the Convention Committee Chairman,Governor Abubarkar Badaru, were immediately sworn-in with the national Chairman,Comrade Adams Oshimole and the national Secretary,Mai Mala Buni take oath of office conducted by the Minister of Justice, Malam

The party chairman, Adams Oshimhole, immediately conducted the inauguration of the rest party officers as elected at the Eagle square,venue of the convention, and the Convention adjourned sine down.

Meanwhile, the supporters of Senator Osita Izunaso,who lost out to Governor Rochas Okorocha’s Candidate,Emma Ibediro has alleged that their principal was traded by the Progressive Governors Forum led by the Imo state governor, Okorocha,as a path to further uniting the party.

You may recall that the results from A-states-Abia,Adamawa,Anambra and Adamawa were not collated while the state of the national convention committee chairman,Jigawa, had no provision for voting the National Organising Secretary.

Reacting on the election of new leaders,the senate President,Bukola Saraki, and Speaker of the House of Representatives,Yakubu Dogara who expressed confidence in Oshimhole’s led NWC,urge them to seek the path of unity and justice as according to the duo, some persons were wronged.

Laoke Olanrewaju – zonal youth leader south-west

Abubakar Sa’adu – zonal youth leader north-west

Kasim Bello Maigari – zonal youth leader north-east

Afeez Bolaji – deputy national youth leader

Abubakar Shuaib- national youth leader
