Oshimole celebrates as Ebiri steps down from APC Nat.Chairmanship contest

Posted by Admin:

Ex Governor of Edo state,Adams Oshimole is upbeat as he would be stepping into the office of National Chairman,All Progressives Congress(APC) to replace another ex governor of his state,Mr John Oyegun.

The likely emergence of Oshimole as National Chairman is coming on the heels of the withdrawal of his last challenger,Ex.Gov. Clement Ebri of Cross River from the contest.

So, the withdrawal of Ebri as announced in a public statement has positioned Adams Oshimole as the sole candidate for the ruling Party national convention holding Saturday, june 23,2018 in Abuja.

You may recall that the duo of Prof Osereimhen Osunbor and Mr Emokpaire Ibrahim had earlier withdrawn from the race to support Adams Oshimole.

Mr Oshiomhole, a former Edo State governor, enjoys the support of President Muahmamdu Buhari and many other leaders of the party.
