…as Gov.El-rufai inaugurates Oshimole Campaign Hqters
The All Progressives Congress(APC) National Convention Secretariat has declared that a total of 176 aspirants bought and submitted forms for the screening exercise towards filling the 43 positions in the National Working Committee of the ruling party.
This was disclosed to the Press on Sunday in Abuja by the Chairman of the screening sub-committee of the APC National Convention Planning Committee,and governor of Katsina state Aminu Bello Masari.
The Chairman Screening sub-committee Chairman went on assuring the persons who have bought and returned their nomination forms of level playing ground by sticking to the rules and regulation guiding the convention.
Masari said, “The total number of aspirants nationwide is about 179, although specifically, I cannot immediately tell you their geographic spread.”
According to him, the sub-committee would abide with the existing zoning arrangement among the six geo-political zones while promising to turn-in the committee’s report on Tuesday to the Convention Committee.
Meanwhile, the campaign headquarters of ex-governor Adams Oshimole has been inaugurated by the Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai,and is located at Aso Drive area of the federal capital city, Abuja.
