The former governor of Edo State,Adam Oshimole,is billed to declare his intention to run for the position of National Chairman in the coming All Progressives Congress(APC) convention.
According to the handlers of the declaration billed for thursday,May 10,2018 at the Transcop Hilton,Abuja,Invitations have been sent out to party stalwarts and others.
Among those expected at the occasion includes the Chairman,Progressives Governor’s Forum who is to lead his colleagues while the duo of Senate President,Bukola Saraki, and the Speaker,Rt.Hon Yakubu Dogara leads the national legislators to the declaration venue
On his aspiration to take over from his fellow Edo man and ex-governor,Mr John Oyegun, as National Chairman, Mr Adams Oshimole states:“It is true that I intend to make my ambition known to our party members and Nigerians. I strongly believe that with the experience I have gathered in my public life, having served as president of NLC, governor of Edo, I have what it takes to take our dear party, the ruling party, to the next level,”.
Meanwhile,the feelers from the ruling party secretariat never suggest the coast as clearer on who takes over despite the earlier reported plea by the President,Muhammudu Buhari,to give it to Mr Oshimole.
