GDPN mocks Imo APC Over poor performance

The Grassroots Democratic Party of Nigeria, GDPN,Imo state chairman, Hon Ben Diribe mocks the All Progressives Congress (APC),Imo state as a party with no more focus and capacity to win election again come 2019.

According to Hon Dirib, the present wrangling within the party is divinely inspired to help Imolites come out of their ‘predicament of maladministration instituted by a self centered tyrant’. He observed that the battle against Governor Okorocha by a group of former loyalist speaks volume of the evil that has characterized the current Imo government as not “competent, effective and non-performing government”.

Diribe stated this in a chart with some mediamen in his office recently while speaking on the state of the nation and his party's level of preparedness to calls for a real change in Imo state ahead 2019 election.

He maintained that the incumbent APC administration led Governor Okorocha has brought hardship on the people of Imo state including greater unseriousness to solving problems of payment of salaries, pensions and gratuity, wealth creation and insecurity.

Diribe quipped that sustainable change can only come from a political party with a strong and popular grassroots movement in the state and nation. He went on calling on Imo people to reject APC and their lies and join the GDPN to have a future for themselves. The GDPN as stated by him is a people oriented party, well positioned to address all the anomalies in Imo state and charged Imo people to join GDPN to wrest power from those he termed the “power addicts”.

Moreso, the state chairman charged Imo citizens to rise above intimidation in an effort to recover the state, noting that “when you have an ineffective and incompetent government, we are all victims.”

Equally, he maintained that: “For us to make it, we need all hands on deck” making for a party with stronger grassroot appeal like GDPN a very good option in driving development into the nooks and crannies of Imo state.
