The crises rocking All Progressives Congress in Imo state is yet to die down as Mr Chris Oguoma vow never to recognize the Hillary Ekeh’s group as the authentic state executives.
Oguoma had while speaking to the press in his Works layout,Owerri office on Tuesday, june 5,2018 denounces the swearing-in ceremony performed in Abuja in respect of Mr Ekeh.
He declares that the said Mr Hillary Ekeh has been on suspension by the state working committee(SWC) of the ruling party following due process as he was caught to have abused his office by issuing conflicting statement regarding the ward congress in the state. He said that Mr Ekeh on one hand stated before the Press that no congress took place on May 5,2018 and in another twist admitted that the congress held and thereby bringing the party into disrepute.
According to the acting State chairman,Oguoma, a court of competent jurisdiction had placed a subsisting order on the congress but,the purported swearing-in is in violation and the “action of Hillary Ekeh and his cohorts is contemptuous and has no backing of the party”.
He insisted that the APC is a law abiding organization and shall continue to respect the order of the court until same is vacated but, warned that any act of the said court order should be held on Mr Ekeh rather the ruling party.
Finally, he called on party faithful to ‘ignore this madness and continue to be steadfast’ as party activities continue.
Meanwhile, the Oguoma led Executive said that they are going on with party primary on Saturday in preparation to the forthcoming local government election in Imo state.
