The outrage following the killings round the country assumed another dimension following the match by Roman Catholic faithful against the menace.
The Owerri Arch-diocese in keeping with the directive from national authority embarked on protest match on tuesday,june 5 starting from Villa Maria in Weatheral road through Govt.House round-about and terminating at the Maria Assumpta Catholic cathederal,Owerri.
The protest match led by the Arch-bishop Anthony Obina saw numerous priest and laity of the arch-diocese join, with numerous placards calling on the government at levels to rise against killings and bad governance in the country.
You may recall that recently, it was alleged that the herdsmen entered into a Roman Catholic Church in Benue state killing two priests and others.
However some person spoken to in owerri alleged that the protest match embarked on is a forewarning to political leaders in Imo state ahead 2019.
