2019:Amuchie takes his leave from Zenith bank,set for Imo guber contest

Baring last minute maneuvering, the Aboh mbaise-born ex banking chief,Mr Stanley Amuchie would declare his intention to take over the Imo state government house from Governor Rochas okorocha.

The Promoter of Goodlight foundation across Imo state for some years and whose governorship ambition has been subject to speculation is said to have set political structures using the non governmental organization,Goodlight to enable him fly the governorship kite.

You may recall that he once held an Emerging leaders Summit in imo state capital where a number of speakers took turn to describe the new leadership as desired in building a new model state.

According to an inside source, the top banker is being wooed by his friends across party lines and public/private sector, and may have caved in following his recent exit from the Zenith Bank PLC where he held the position of Chief Finance Officer.

The announcement of his exit from the Zenith bank’s top position having taken over from the present Akwa Ibom governor,Emmanuel Udom in 2013 when he was first appointed Secretary to the state Government under the administration of Gov.Godswill Akpabio.

Stanley Amuchie graduated from the University of Benin in 1993 with a First Class honors degree in Industrial Chemistry and the best graduating student for the year. He later qualified as a member of institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, member, Chartered Institute of bankers of Nigeria and started his financial services with Arthur Anderson, now KPMG Professional services and has worked across west African Countries.

On joining Zenith bank,a top financial institution in Nigeria he continued to distinguish himself in various positions including coordinating operations in her foreign subsidiaries before his last position as chief Finance officer.

Meanwhile the bank has announced Mukhtar Adam,former deputy Chief Finance Officer as the Chief finance officer to replace Mr Amuchie who is now set to declare for Imo guber.
