…APC does not belong to one man – Senator Araraume
… Imo Deputy jilts Okorocha, set for guber contest
Following the insistence by the son-in-law to governor of Imo state and Chief of Staff,Mr Uche Nwosu, to contest for the Imo State governorship under the barnner of All Progressives Congress(APC),a camp within the party led by senator Ifeanyi Ararume has declared the readiness of the members to stop the guber aspiration
According to the ex-senator who represented Okigwe zone in the Senate chamber and a governoship aspirant under the ruling, the APC in Imo State can not be under the control of just one man.
Senator Ifeanyi Araraume, who flee into the state Saturday under the warm embrace of his supporters made his position known while addressing his supporters at his Destiny Foundation office, in Owerri.
Araraume quipped, “No one man owns the party. The party belongs to all of you. And whatever will happen in Imo state, will be decided by you.
“There is no one man, no matter who the person is that owns this party. This party belongs to all of us. You must work hard to ensure that this party is strong in your area.
“There is no any other party that will win Imo state. Our President will be voted again to continue from 2019. So, no one man will decide what will happen in Imo.”
He encouraged his supporters to remain steadfast as the ruling party can not be pocketed while recalling the effort made ealier to dissolve the Executives but derided the group for daring the impossible.
“When they were moving around telling people that they will change our elected executives and I told them that nobody can change our elected executives. That is not democracy, we are not in the period of dictatorship. We have long passed that, it is now history.”he said.
Meanwhile, there are feelers from the Peoples House as Imo State government House is known that the State deputy governor,Prince Eze Madumere, is set to declare his intension to run for governorship of the state against his boss’s preffered candidate,Mr Uche Nwosu, who recently made his declaration in his hometown,Eziama-Obaire,Nkwere local Government Area,Imo State.
