The tirade against Governor Rochas Okorocha’s administration has continued to grow by the day as the law maker representing Owerri federal constituency,Hon Ezenwa Onyebuchi,has condemned the state government’s use of thugs in his administration.
The Orji,Owerri-North born Legislator was reacting to the present relocation and demolitions going on in Imo state especially Owerri metropolis and called on the state government to stop the “wanton destruction and forceful eviction of Innocent Imolites from their business places within Owerri metropolis”.
Onyewuchi who expressed dismay over the reported use of cultists and armed thugs by the government to achieved their ill conceived purpose without giving attention to due process and dialogue.
The law maker who chairs the House committee on Labour,Employment and productivity maintained that it is best to engage relevant stakeholders in these processes rather use of intimidation and threats on the citizenries
“We cannot continue like this for Christ’s sake. Governor Okorocha should realize that power is transient. He will definitely leave by May, 29th, 2019 and I wonder what he wants to be remembered for. The pain, anguish and hopelessness he has caused the citizens and residents are too much to be ignored and I dare say, enough is enough” Onyewuchi said.
The peoples Democratic Party(PDP) law maker while pleading with the victims of recent demolitions not take laws into their hands, went on to challenge the Nigeria Police, the Civil Defense Corps and other relevant security agencies in the state to act quickly in order to restore normalcy and ensure free flow of economic activities and vehicular movement in the city.
