Trouble looms in PDP as New PDP faction emerges

opens secretariat  in Abuj

Palpable tension exist among Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) faithful as a group made up of five men on Wednesday “opened” a new secretariat in Abuja.

The five men are Prince Obi Nwosu, Alhaji Hassan Adamu, Chief Olusola Akindele, Chief Godwin Duru and Franklyne Edede.

The new office of the nation’s Opposition Party is located at Asokoro District of Abuja.

Presently there are only two flags of the party taped to the building to indicate that it is a party office.

According to Mr Nwosu, leader of the five-man faction, said that members of the National Working Committee of his group would be announced in January next year.

The factional group stated that its emergence is due to the imposition of a unity list on members on December 9 during the just concluded National Convention of the opposition Party held in Abuja.

You may recall that similar situation occurred in 2014 when the likes of Senator Bukola Saraki, Ex-Gov. Rabiu Kwankwaso, and others jilted the Party and later pitched tent with the now ruling All Progressives Congress(APC)
