Acting President Osibajo finally signs 2017 budget in june

The nation’s 2017 budget appropriation as delivered by the National Assembly was Monday at 4.40p.m signed into law by Nigerian Acting President, Prof Yemi Osibajo.


The brief event which took place in his Conference room at the Presidential Villa had in attendance, the President of Senate, Bukola Saraki, the Speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari,Senior Special Assisstant to the President, National Assembly , Mr Etta Enang,Minister of National Planning and Budget, Mr Udo Udoma, Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun, and others

The budget as signed by the Acting President is N7.44 trillion  as the National Assembly had earlier raised the appropriation sent by the Executive from N7.28trillion to N7.44trillion

According to the Acting President, the process of putting the 2017 budget is  smoother as there are allegations of error.

He declared the signing as milestone towards fulfilling the growth plan programme of the administration
